Dath-Buan: The Art of Colour Stabilisation

At SIÓG Botanicals, we capture the fleeting beauty of your most precious moments. To ensure your memories remain as vibrant as the day they were gathered, we offer our signature Dath-Buan colour enhancement process.

What is Dath-Buan?

Dath-Buan is a meticulous, artisan colour stabilisation technique unique to our studio. After your flowers are fully preserved and dried, our artists carefully apply multiple fine layers of premium, archival fine-art mediums and specialised pigments directly to the petals.

Our goal isn't to alter nature, but to mimic it. By blending custom-tinted layers with delicate, soft-focus pigments, we aim to replicate the velvety depth, texture, and tone of your flowers when they were fresh.

The Choice is Yours: Natural vs. Enhanced

We believe in complete transparency. Acrylic paint is a synthetic medium, and we understand that some of our clients prefer a 100% organic, unaltered finish. Because of this, Dath-Buan is an entirely optional choice.

When confirming your design choices, you can choose between two paths:

Feature The Natural Path The Dath-Buan Path
Appearance Soft, vintage, and naturally muted tones. Vibrant, rich, and true-to-life colours.
The Process Dehydrated and sealed. Dehydrated, sealed, enhanced.
Aging Will naturally fade to sepia, cream, and brown over a few years. Retains its original colour profile indefinitely.
Best For Lovers of antique, rustic, and changing organic beauty. Creating a vibrant, generational family heirloom.

Crafted for Generations: Our Sustainability Philosophy

True sustainability isn't just about using 100% organic materials; it’s about longevity.

While the acrylic paint used in our Dath-Buan process is not a natural substance, it serves a deeply sustainable purpose. Unenhanced dried flowers will eventually fade into muted tones of cream and brown. By stabilising the colour, we ensure that your frame doesn't just last for a few seasons, but becomes a permanent piece of art.

Our Dath Buan pieces are designed to be passed down through families as a vibrant heirloom—a vivid piece of family history that looks just as striking on your grandchildren's walls as it does on yours today.

The Test of Time: A 5-Year Comparison

To help you decide which option is right for your home, here is how our preserved pieces age over half a decade depending on your choice.

  • Left Side (Without Colour Enhancement after 5 Years): The bouquet has faded into beautiful, vintage tones. The pinks have turned to a soft beige, the greens are a muted olive-brown, and the whites have taken on an antique parchment hue.
  • Right Side (With Dath-Buan after 5 Years): The bouquet remains strikingly vibrant. The pinks are blushing, the greens are crisp, and the whites are luminous—looking exactly as it did the day it was framed.

Ready to Preserve Your Memories?
